My mom has had to have inpatient rehabilitation in the last year several times. She is now on her third tour of duty at Cornerstone for the first time of the three and she has done the best here. Our experience has been great. April and her physical therapy staff have accomplished getting mom back up and walking on a walker where two other facilities failed. The PT staff and April show extreme patience with mom and it is paying off. Also we could not ask for a better team than the B wing folks. Nurses Amy, Rena, and Holly and CNAs Kimberly and Katelyn have done their jobs remarkably well and they treat Mom with dignity and care. I want to note a CNA, Teasha who made a point to tell me she appreciated that I visit mom so much and that I share information with them about mom that helps them care for her. Amy calls me with questions instead of guessing and Rena is able to get information out of mom when others can’t. Also Wiley is doing a great job in my opinion running the facility. Almost every time I go out there they’re cleaning the floors. They’re repairing doors. They’re painting rooms. They’re painting trim on doors that get scuffed and they’re doing a great job making a facility that is well aged look clean and presentable and comfortable to go into. And the social staff that operates in the dining room outside of mealtime - the ladies that play games with the residents from card games to bingo to balloon volleyball to coloring - it’s really entertaining for mom to go up there even on days she doesn’t feel like participating she still likes to sit and watch everybody else play and they make her feel welcome. Tiffany deserves a lot of credit for the tour when I was looking for the best place for mom. I believe the director of nursing Donna is on top of things - she’s levelheaded and extremely reasonable even with people who are unreasonable and it takes a tremendous amount of grace and patience to be in her position. I wanted to do 4.5 stars but that was not an option and they are better than 4 so I did 5 but the only knock is per mom the food is not as good as where she was previously she says. But she eats it and gets snacks from Amy and Rena approved of course by me and the doctor. There are some other phenomenal people on mom’s nursing team with Amy, Rena, Kimberly, and Katelyn so thanks everyone for the great care of Mom!!!!

Cornerstone is a great facility. My loved one entered as a rehabilitation patient and recently transitioned over to being a long-term care resident. The building is very clean, patient rooms are easily accessible, and the common areas are very accomodating for visitors. The nursing staff are well trained and treat residents like family. Any concerns have been addressed throughly, efficiently, and in a timely manner. From the business/administrative office to the housekeeping/kitchen and nursing staff , every employee has been a joy to work with in making our family member’s stay as pleasant as possible. It gives peace of mind each day knowing that our loved one is in great hands at Cornerstone.
