My experiences have been good, so far have been pleased but as handicapped person and one who can't talk due to strokes listening better would be of help. See ya
1 / 5Reviews of this in-home care provider are mixed: several families describe caregivers who allowed aging parents or spouses to remain safely at home and offered welcome respite, while other reviewers report inconsistent caregiver training and one detailed a serious safety incident involving a caregiver's conduct. Overall the service appears to depend heavily on which caregiver is assigned to a given case.

A disparity exists among your caregivers which is great enough for me to question how much training they receive. If a caregiver can't adjust the rails on a hospital bed, how can I leave her alone with the patient? Some of your caregivers are excellent, and I've learned that they took it upon themselves to supplement the training you provided by researching the 'how to's' of caregiving, i.e through U Tube. During those visits, those caregivers taught me a better way of doing some things. I'm so grateful for each new method I learn, and to your caregiver for sharing that info with me! Common sense and a good work attitude help make great employees. A caregiver who comes to the workplace coughing is of no use to me, especially if they refuse to disclose the reason for the cough. I MUST know if they're contagious! If I'm ill, who will care for my mother on a regular basis? No one! I expect Comfort Keepers to know that you should not send a contagious caregiver to my home because I have no backup. Finally, I hire additional help because I can't do everything 24/7. When I find a loyal, honest and competent caregiver, it's incumbent upon me to keep them. When you and I arrange a regular day/time for a Comfort Keepers caregiver to work in my home, I attempt to schedule someone I hire around the Comfort Keepers schedule. That person is relying on me to give them those hours of work because they need the money. Sticking to the schedule we set is important. However, I know you often have little control over staffing shortages, etc., and I have tried to accommodate you, always. Please accept my comments as constructive. Comfort Keepers provides an excellent service, and I don't know how I would have managed without your help. Cathy P. Mize

First, let me say I am APPALLED that I received a request for my DECEASED father to review Comfort Keepers. Second, I am even more APPALLED to receive this review request considering they discontinued my father's contract over false accusations. However, they asked for a review and, since my father passed away in 2021, I guess that review will have to come from me. Now, on to the review.... If I could give a negative amount of stars, I would! This made my father feel unsafe in his own home. They hired drug addicts to come to care for my father. The care givers are supposed to have their OWN transportation, but one caregiver (on multiple occasions) had people to drop her off at our home and pick her up. (Once, I had to take this woman to her next appointment because it was raining, her ride didn't show, and she "couldn't be late" for her next appointment.) This same person had people meet her at my house while she was supposed to be working with my father. (We believe she was buying drugs because she would always be under the influence when she came back into our home.) This company was supposed to have people stay with my father 3 times a week (2 2hr visits, 1 6hr visit). The only time I could feel comfortable with who I left with my father was when it was a man, and then that was a toss-up with all but one of the men who were sent. It got so bad that we had to install security cameras because of false accusations made against my father claiming that he was being "inappropriate with the girls" (direct quote from office personnel) even though my father NEVER did anything but sit at the table playing games on his laptop while the care giver sat on the couch or did housework. So, if you want your loved one to be endangered, hire this company. If you don't, look elsewhere for assistance caring for your loved one.

Comfort Keepers provides a service that allowed me some "free" time while caring for my wife who was suffering with dementia. This free time was critical for my well-being. Comfort Keepers came in and took over caring while I could go into town and do necessary chores. Don't know what I would have done without them.

Comfort Keepers was a wonderful experience for our family. They allowed my aging mother to stay in her own home when she wasn’t able to cope alone. Her “helpers” were all great, caring, people. I’ve recommended them to anyone that has older relatives that need assistance. Thank you!
