My 99 year old mother was here for 5 days as part of a respite for us through hospice. At the time, she had suffered a stroke and needed assistance eating because she was pocketing food and didn’t have good control of her right hand. She needed assistance going to the bathroom for the same issue with her right hand, she wasn’t eating much at all and therefore didn’t need to move her bowels much at all, and needed assistance showering.

None of this happened while in the care of this facility. When we went to collect her we found her covered in food, some of which was still in her mouth, she had been forced to take a laxative but was not given assistance in the bathroom so she was covered in poop. She had clothes missing and a family heirloom quilt was stolen by the staff.

The lack of care was frankly shameful. Do not trust these people with people who you love. She passed away shortly afterwards and the guilt I feel for leaving her there for those five days will haunt me forever.
