It is sad to read the bad experiences others had at College Vista while ours has been the opposite. Our father who is terminally ill with stage 4 cancer and other health issues has been in and out of hospitals and transitional care. CV was recommended to us and after our initial visits to check it out, we were hopeful. He's been there now for two months and we are all grateful for the care he is receiving. When he had an episode and had to go to ER, the staff responded swiftly and provided excellent communication. When he tried to get up on his own and fell, they quickly took measures to safeguard his bed and surroundings and again provided excellent communication. He had a horrible case of bed sores and with Daniel's expert care, it is getting noticeably better. The physical and occupational therapists are caring and truly try to work with dad. Since he's diabetic and doesn't walk, we had been asking for leg compressors. Vanessa had been looking for a vendor for a while with no success so they went ahead and purchased one out of pocket. Vanessa, Daniel, Daryl, Maria and the entire team at CV are caring people who are skilled and good at their jobs. The facility is clean. Walking through, everyone greets you with a smile and the patients are calm and friendly as well. It's not chaotic and you don't hear screaming like in some other facilities. Kudos and many thanks for your great care and going the extra mile, CV team. We are grateful for you all.

"During a recent pickup at a nursing home while working for the mortuary, I encountered significant challenges due to the staff's lack of professionalism and cooperation. Assistance was minimal. communication was poor, and overall support from the facility was inadequate which made completing the service more difficult than necessary."

My mom is 92 years old and after a fall in which she broke her knee, we were devastated thinking about her recovery process at her age. We were terrified thinking about where she would do her recovery process after her knee replacement and thankfully she ended up at College Vista. From the moment we walked in, we had a meeting with the social worker Blanca who told us that there would be a meeting with all divisions of the center to discuss her recovery plan. From that moment on I knew Mom was in good hands. We were also worried about a language barrier since Mom only speaks Spanish, and thankfully so does virtually all the staff. I’ve come to get to know everyone at CV on a first name basis, and everyone could not be sweeter. They have all helped Mom feel at home while she’s away from home. I’m so grateful to all of the nurses that have helped my mom, the head of nurses Vanessa, her physical therapy team, even custodial staff that have become Mom’s family. It’s hard to see these negative reviews below, because we’ve had the complete opposite experience. They even made my mom feel special on her birthday, allowing us to have a mini celebration on the patio. They keep her occupied with activities, socialization with other residents, you name it! I don’t know how long my Mom will spend away from home, and even though we’re not under the same roof, I know she could not be in better hands. This is a thank you to every single individual at college vista for loving my mom the way we do!!
