This place was horrible to my mom! A male nurse was the only one who took good care of her and bathed her whenever he could! This was in the summer of 2022! Those other nurses didn’t give a crap!

My mom was here after she was discharged from the hospital. The care she recieved was terrible and the staff made me question their competence. If you have to have your loved ones stay here please be aware they will give your loved ones medicine to make them sleep so they dont have to deal with them. If you feel like your loved ones are being mistreated always report to Los Angeles County public health for this facility to be investigated, make an Adult Protective Service report explaining your concerns for your loved ones care by these staff members, and you could always report the staff to their specific licensing board.

Sorry guys, I meant to write a positive review a few months ago, but have been distracted with a crazy holiday.

I suppose a place like this is going to be a love/hate type of thing in the reviews, but I wanted to say that my mother and I had a good experience there, you know, for what it is. My mother (Lynne) can be...umm difficult (stubborn and cantankerous) at times, but just about every time I needed something, whoever was on staff happily obliged. Erik and Glenda were amazing when attending to her and when it came time to transfer her to assisted living, Crystal, Alex and Paul were extremely helpful in helping me find a place...and helping me convince my mother she needed to go!

I took away a star because the actual last day of her transfer was harrowing to say the least. The discharge evaluation by the doctor at Clara Baldwin was just plain wrong in a few areas, and the assisted living place wasn't going to take her until it got corrected. Among a couple other things, the evaluation was saying she had to be on a liquid diet when that wasn't true. Merrill Gardens (the new place) wouldn't take my word for it that she could eat solid food, and the doctor, or anyone that could officially correct the evaluation couldn't be found....and I had a delivery driver waiting to drop off a hospital bed at the new place that she was about to not be let in. I told Clara Baldwin that she would have to stay there if they didn't get the evaluation fixed, and I was told that her spot was already given to someone else for the next day and that my mom HAD to leave. I thought she was going to have to come home, where I couldn't take care of her...and then still have no place to go. Thank god, after a couple of tries, Crystal managed to change the evaluation at the very last minute, and it worked out, but man, sorry guys, that stress at the end mandates a star being removed, blame the doctor. Otherwise, thank you all so much for what you did for my mom.
