Caring and compassionate team. Wonderful group of managers led by administrator Cindy. Amazing activities staff with a rotation of new activities for the residence instead of the same old thing every week they try new games and recipes. They have several volunteers that come in and play music. The therapy department gets people back where they need to be to be able to go home. Including both my husband‘s, Nana and Papa. CMHCF is the first choice I would make for my family. Also, they have fundraisers like dog days of summer that raises money for the resident special project fund. Their team leaders are active members of Bolivar Chamber of Commerce and are also involved in light the park during Christmas.

I've lived in 4 of these places now, and one was so bad I was taken into a closet with the lights out, and the door locked, and left here for 3 hours as an effort by an aide to prove she knew more than a neurologist of 27 years as a specialist. And this place... is Worse. They have lied to me for over 2 years insisting my records don't contain a diagnosis that they do, because it means I have to keep the room cooler than other residents like... so they have to deal with complaints. All that time, it was in the records they have. And after a recent dispute over it, in which they removed the air unit from the room along with the fan, and the temperature became so high I was hallucinating... I went to the E.R. which is the same company, and has the Same records, and they sent me back with a Patient Information sheet stating "you HAVE record of the diagnosis of anhidrosis and autodysnomia." and goes on to tell them to keep the room to temp I ask. So now they're trying to foist me off to the few facilities rated even worse than they are. Did I mention the first time I had to use the restroom here, I waited 14 Hours to get there? Or that they have refused to "Allow" me to go to the hospital when I had issues, which is not up to them, but me. Or that they are selective in hiring so that those who won't remain long, are always hired as the Shower or Restorative aide, so they can go long periods in between without one and not get into trouble with the state. ... which is why it is not uncommon for some of us to go over 2 weeks without a shower. .. I could go on at length.
