Unqualified homecare staff borders on criminal. My vulnerable, disabled son had NO choice who was assigned to him. First staff had him sign off on hours she didn't work and tried to convince him to give/loan her money! Second one almost ruined his floors using wrong product though she was shown what to use. Altho she spoke no English, he was ok to continue with her bc she actually showed up, was a good cleaner & wasn’t asking him for $. But COL suddenly replaced her w/ staff who was on her phone most of every shift & didn't know how to do even light housecleaning! First & third staff were often no-shows at the last minute so my son went many days w/out any services, altho he had reserved time for them. While the first one faked her Timesheet, billing for hours not worked, the last one would finally show up last day of a week & stay for 8 hours (instead of 2 hours 4 days,) sitting and playing/texting on her phone to make up the hours she had previously cancelled. She told my son she needed the days she cancelled to do her "drug runs," delivering illegal drugs from the Twin Cities which earned her alot more $ than this job. She talked about her personal sex toys w/ my son, so he showed her an explicit picture. Later when he complained about her frequent cancellations & doing a whole week of hours in one day, the COL administrator said, when confronted, she said my son was inappropriate and made her uncomfortable! Then the administrator said that ALL 3 of their female staff said he was "inapproproate" w/ them, and that he must have a male caregiver which they don't have! He didn’t care, male or female; he just needed help. He even needed help bathing & toileting, but never considered asking any of them to help with that! We were SHOCKED they would lie to blame him for their lack of professional caregivers! COL was a waste of time & money, and caused my son stress that made his anxiety & depression worse!
