Chisholm Trail Assisted Living

Chisholm Trail Assisted Living is a family-owned and operated assisted living center in Duncan, Oklahoma. The facility was constructed by owner and administrator Dustin Cox and his father Rex, with Dr. Demetra Cox serving as Medical Director. The community provides custodial care and daily living assistance to seniors who may need help with activities such as meal preparation, hygiene, cleaning, and supervision, but do not require the around-the-clock skilled nursing care of a nursing home.

The facility specializes in individualized care plans tailored to each resident's specific needs. Licensed caregivers focus on developing caring relationships with residents while helping them maintain their independence. Services include assistance with daily living activities, medication management, and coordination of care. The community emphasizes companionship, dignity, and quality of life as core priorities, with staff trained to provide attention and support while fostering trust.

Meals are served three times daily in a restaurant-style dining environment and are designed to provide both nutrition and socialization. The community offers an active monthly activity calendar featuring crafts, cooking, exercise, sensory activities, bingo, bible study, bowling, and other programs. Outside groups are welcome to participate in activities as well.

The community provides residential options including spacious studio apartments and two-bedroom units. Studio apartments are equipped with a microwave, mini-fridge, walk-in showers, and personal heat and air units. Two-bedroom units feature two full-size bedrooms each with its own closet, heat and air unit, and vanity, plus a spacious bathroom, living area, and kitchenette with full-size refrigerator and microwave. All-inclusive rates are available, with a monthly additional occupant fee for any apartment type. Most residents are private pay, with assistance available for filing long-term care claims and the Aid & Attendance benefit for veterans or their spouses.
