My mom came here after a long stay in the hospital. She's 80. They we're able to get her up and going so that she could go home where she lives alone. They also sent people to her home when she did get there to help her continue her physical therapy. She said everyone was very friendly and helpful. From the cleaners to the nurses. She liked the look of the facility. She thought it was pretty "fancy". She was previously in a facility after Hospital stay in Lock Haven that she said was not very good at all compared to this one. I'm very grateful for this since I live on the other side of the country and cannot be there to help.

The care is very good, staff is very compassionate and exudes a lot of mercy for all residents. Would recommend Centre Care to all friends and family.

My father was transferred to here for rehab as he had emergency hip replacement after falling while hunting. My father is alert and oriented with caring for himself for 80 years. The first initial day was great people all over and friendly hellos. As my father’s daughter I would go to visit multiple times in a day, along with communicating with my father through out the day. I am also his POA and a nurse I would update the staff in regards to how he has ended up here to rehab, his history, any updates for other providers he seen, etc. October 31st I specifically spoke to the medical director, along with RN supervisor, aide and LPN of my father’s abdomen being extremely extended with loud bowel sounds, +3 pitting edema, his color and not wanting to eat much! I also informed them that he has not had a formed bowel movement prior to surgery date of October 24th regardless of the hospital reports and KUB test. That my father’s abdomen being is alert and orient and is aware of when he has bowel movements, he also has been independently transferring himself to his bathroom so I am not sure how it’s being recorded that he has moved his bowels.<br>On the 4-5th day of repeating myself and my dad talking of it, the medical director had another KUB completed that showed “no blockage” full of air in large intestines.<br>However routine and PRN medication was given for those 4 days at Centre Care for “constipation”. I continued to question this daily until the night before my fathers discharge a female RN called to update, still not providing of bowel movements, she then asked if the doctor could call me I accepted. He called with asking me to let him finishing talking when I attempted to ask questions of “his” opinions, then he asked me in a rude tone what do you want me to do??? Needless to say my father was being discharged the following morning so my answer was nothing.<br>Fast forward to 2 weeks after being discharge from this rehab…..I calling 911 for my father who was showing all the signs of Congestive heart failure with +3 pitting edema…. Sure enough he had an illeus along with needing heart cath and 2 stents placed, both ER doctors, Internal medicine, urologist, and 2 cardiologist were astonished that my father had made it this thus far he was admitted within 5 MINUTES of being inside ER!! Multiple times I was told how lucky he was, timing and this should have never been left unattended/ignored as 22 pounds of edema and +3 edema was enough to investigate. My father’s heart muscle has some damage, he is making leaps and bounds however this credit goes to Mt Nittany and Penn State! Mr Medical director might want to listen to digest, regardless if they are family, a nurse, friend etc! I know my father than you do and shame on you for talking to a family member as such and trying to make me feel inferior as a women!<br>#ibringandboughthetableswwetheart

Had my mom there in the Rehab Neighborhood. From the first day til the day she was discharged nothing but kind, professional personal that is caring. And mom made a few friends while she was there.
