About CenterWell Home Health

CenterWell Home Health in Roanoke, Virginia provides home health and hospice services to people recovering or aging in place. The organization is rated 4.7 out of 5 stars across 45 Google reviews.

Families consistently praise the clinical staff, nurses, physical therapists, and occupational therapists, for being professional, punctual, and compassionate during recovery and difficult transitions. One family wrote, "The Nurses, Physical Therapists and Occupational Therapists were always on time, respectful and professional." However, experiences vary. Some families report strong rehabilitation support and positive relationships with individual caregivers, while others describe gaps in continuity: missed appointments, incomplete education on home care tasks, and delayed follow-ups from support staff like social workers or ordered equipment like compression socks.

The service appears strongest for families with consistent therapist relationships and weakest when coordination or follow-through on non-clinical logistics falters. Families seeking home health support should clarify expectations around appointment reliability, hands-on training, and care coordination before starting services.

CenterWell is a wonderful resource! All of the therapists we have used are friendly and professional. We are impressed with their ability to work with our family throughout difficult situations as we age and need assistance with rehabilitation.

This was just our own experience. The lady that came was very nice but she had a problem with keeping her appointments with us. Once or twice I can see but this went on about every time. She wrapped my mom's legs twice for cellulitis. She never taught me how to care for my mom's legs if it should come back again. Ordered her compression socks, we still have never received those. It really was a complete waste of time. I really don't like to have to give this kind of answer but it is what it was.

PT and nurses are great. Was evaluated by OT and told I didn't need her service. I couldn't do some things around my house and that is what OT is supposed to be about. She gave me a shoe horn, a grabber and a back scrubber then went on her happy way. Was told that social worker was coming by and she never did. So in my eyes this is a 50%er. Had issues with social worker coming and finally got resolved.
