My mom was recently a patient at Center at Arrowhead. She was there for 3 mos after major back surgery. If I could give this place a zero I would and if you’re considering this place for a loved one I highly recommend that you don’t!! The nursing staff and CNA staff are awful. They act like taking care of senior citizens that are unable to tend to themself is beneath them. I observed on several occasions the poor attitude of the staff. We hired patient advocates to help us make sure this rehabilitation center did their job(s) but meeting after meeting with the director of this facility, the staff would be ok for a day and then fall right back into their bad habits. The patient case manager, Melinda, was supposed to call us weekly with updates on how mom was doing, but she never called. It was only when the advocate team spoke with the her or the director would we then get a call. And if it wasn’t for the fact that we had hired these patient advocates, we wouldn’t have known the serious health issues that my mom incurred while at that facility. Many times my mom was left in wheelchair for up to 5hours. She developed serious cellulitis from way too many in the wheelchair. Even after confronting the staff about them leaving her in the chair too long, it just continued. Center at Arrowhead is there to take your money with doing the least amount of work they can. There were so many issues there. She is now at a different place and she is thriving!! The service is awesome and they care so much about her wellbeing. I implore you to not take your loved one to Center at Arrowhead! If they are unable to walk, talk, or fend for themselves, the staff will not be of good service. The nurses hate their jobs and it’s highly obvious and the director of this place does nothing to make sure proper care is done to ensure your loved recovers well. If it wasn’t for the advocates we had hired we would’ve pulled my mom out sooner. But we kept giving them the benefit of the doubt that things would change. Obviously they did not.

Our initial introduction started while looking for a skilled nursing home for my mother after she had brain surgery to remove a baseball-sized tumor. The Center at Arrowhead was quite a pleasant experience for my 90-year-old mother. My mother did extremely well through her surgery, approximately 30 hrs later she experienced two substantial strokes in addition to multiple seizures for the remaing two days. Unfortunately, these strokes caused paralysis, which rendered her totally paralyzed on her left side of her body. The situation required us to place her in an acute rehab hospital. After spending 16 out of 21 days in this facility on the 18th day or so my mother, miraculously started to slowly regain her mobility in her left arm and her left leg. As we quickly approached the 21st day in the Acute Rehabilitation Hospital, we were fully aware of the fact that Medicare would not pay for any additional days. So we decided to have my mother moved to a skilled Nursing facility. I started researching skilled nursing home facilities near our home. That's when we discovered the Center at Arrowhead. My initial contact was with Charlene the Director of Admissions, whom we really enjoyed meeting. Shortly afterwards we had the pleasure of meeting the second and most important person. Joshua Hays was our patient advocate. This young man was probably the most important person at this point that we could have met. Joshua Hays the Patient Advocate at the Center at Arrowhead was just amazing. Joshua from the first moment that we met him was Pleasant reassuring, helpful, good-spirited, and dedicated to answering all of our questions and concerns. If my mother needed anything at all Joshua would see to it that she would get it. Joshua became the highlight of my Mother’s day whenever he would drop in to check on her. Joshua's relentless assistance and guidance at every turn was not only comforting for both my Mother and me, but refreshing! We would like to take a moment to express our gratitude to both the Center at Arrowhead, and especially to Joshua for his outstanding work ethic, dedication, and empathy that he consistently demonstrated to our family. I highly recommend The Center at Arrowhead! My mother was treated with top notch care each and every stay! The staff, to include every member, were fantastic. I can’t say enough about them. They treated mom as if they were caring for their own mother. Char and Rhonda, thank you from the bottom of my heart for going the extra mile! Thank you ALL!

My father was in this facility for 3 weeks. Rarely did anything happen without tracking down staff. There was no communication about my father’s condition. Never saw a doctor and no one seemed to know when any doctors would show up. Call lights were ignored and staff wouldn’t make eye contact. The only way we were able to get anything done was by writing a letter. They responded by improving my dad’s location near the nurses station so someone could cast an eye every now and again. That didn’t happen. I found that interesting as they were really acknowledging their lack of care…because he was down a hallway in the back. Incompetence and callousness from the top of management to the bottom of the heap. Unless you can provide round the clock advocacy for your loved one, think again about using this facility. Based on my family’s experience, healthcare is not their priority.

Literally the worst facility ever. My grandfather was a patient for two weeks and was completely neglected. Even when he did receive assistance they were rough with him. The man has a 75% comressed L1 and they didnt even take that into consideration. He was in extreme pain and they were never consisted with his pain meds. The only meds they DIDNT miss giving him were ones that made him loopy and sleep all day and night so they didn't have to deal with him (which we already expressed NOT TO GIVE HIM.) We had family members with him 13 hours out of the day to make sure he was being taken care of. They were never updating his chart or able to tell us the last time he had received pain meds or been changed/turned in his bed which SHOULD have been every two hours. No one had any accurate information ever. Stay far away from this facility. All they care about is the money they get from your insurance company. Worst staff imaginable truly.
