If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. A family member of mine stayed here, and the experience was beyond unacceptable. At one point, they were left without a bath for three weeks — staff attempted to excuse this by falsely claiming the care was “refused.” Additionally, when my family member reported not receiving her medication, staff initially argued and were extremely unprofessional, only to later realize they had, in fact, missed giving her the medication. Personal belongings routinely went missing, communication with family members was terrible, and honesty was severely lacking. Staff claimed to have mailed a letter regarding a care meeting (as we live out of state), yet no letter was ever received. We were not informed of the initial meeting at all, and only upon the second meeting were we contacted via phone to schedule — and even then, not all necessary staff members attended, and misleading information was given. Repeated attempts to call and check on her care often went unanswered. We chose this facility believing it was a reputable option, especially in a smaller town, but sadly, that was not the case. We ultimately removed our family member and brought her to live with us. It was only then that we learned the full extent of how poorly the facility is actually run. Unless you live nearby and are able to visit several times a week to personally oversee care, I would strongly advise against choosing this facility. Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone — not even to my worst enemy.

My great aunt was residing here for around two years. One year around the holiday season a cna stole her debit and credit card while she was in the hospital away from the facility. We noticed due to transactions, nobody from the facility noticed. Upon investigation she also took belongings of hers and had stolen from patients in the past and was caught, but was still employed. Also, her health deteriorated beyond belief. Multiple repetitive infections, lack of proper care, bed sores etc. She suffered a stroke in the facility, which is due to her preexisting health conditions, but they did not take notice in due time and she lost her ability to speak properly along with other long term issues rooting from the prolonged stroke. She ended up with a wound on her foot that was an accident, but due to improper hygiene and wound management; She lost a toe and her full leg was infected for months, swollen as well. The wound did not heal, which made her lose her ability to stand or move her leg. Due to the care they provided they decided her quality of life was low and attempted to coerce our family to put her on hospice multiple times and would isolate her from these calls they would have. We moved her to a new facility in chadron and she had to get surgery on her leg due to the infection and is now healing and recovering, can stand and move. She never needed hospice care. In just a few months she is on the mend, in this new facility which further proves how poor the care was.

I have been very impressed with Skyview. The employees are kind, facility is clean, and the food is good. The people I've spoke to who live there seem happy. Staff are cheerful. Administration is flexible and eager to help. It's a small, quaint, family oriented nursing home. One I'd definitely recommend.

My grandfathers end of days were spent here. I can’t say enough how much I appreciate the care and kindness that was given to him. So many staff come to mind, but I lack the names, he was touched by many, which means the world to me and the family. One that comes to mind is Mary, I wish I knew her last name, she became a very special person to him, and to us in his end days. Thank you, for your care and kindness during such a hard time

Three times by Skyview staffing I was told something would be happening for me recently before being admitted as a resident of this long-term care facility. Each time was a complete and utter failing by them to follow through with their word. Most unfortunate, as I honestly had trusted them to fulfill 3 simple things over the course of 2 months... and as I've learned some time ago: If someone or someplace doesn't come through with something(s) simple then one may be unwise to depend on them for anything larger and more important. Hence, other arrangements were made, a better place for me was chosen, and my heart is good knowing that for me personally the correct alternative was selected for my long-term care. Other than that, Skyview had honestly impressed me quite favorably overall. It's a shame that things did not work out after so much time and effort was spent in making potential arrangements here but I have no regrets, as regrets are idle and negative things. Just get your agreements in writing first is my strong suggestion.
