Our family member had been a long standing resident at Mattapan Health & Rehab and many of the staff had been there with her for decades. We appreciate all that the staff has done for her and the patience and care they showed her and our family throughout her many years there. Special thanks to all the staff who took care of our family member especially Nurse Maggie, who managed her with consistency and patience day to day for almost 20 years, and Avril the activities director for over 20 years of planning trips, holiday events and daily activities. The staff at Mattapan Health & Rehab were like family and our family really appreciates and recognizes them for all they did.

I have a cousin, that’s was admitted to MHR. I have visited him several times in the last few weeks. He is always neat and clean. All the staff that I have met have always attended to his needs as well as mines. Chris, is coming out of his shell, when I am there I notices his interactions with staff, and that is very positive. Thank you Mattapan Health Rehab Staff! His Cousin 🩵

The place needs to be shut down and remodel. They need to train the staff or get new ones that have compassion for the patients and the patients family. This was the only place to bring my grandma at the time. We hate that she is in here. Few weeks she will be leaving and we will be so thrilled. There is bugs, the curtains have so many stains, it’s not unsanitary. Family room no one wears mask. Staff is not helpful anytime you ask them for questions about your love one they don’t look at you it’s always just good. Some nurses are not on the same page. My grandma gum was hurting I reported it the lady there never got her the help . 4 days later my sister ask dis they check her gum and they said they don’t know .?it’s unorganized there. If you are a family member that is active in your love one life this is not the place. Every time I come there to visit it’s miserable and sad. TVs don’t work , walls have sooo many stains 3 people in a room. We was sitting there one day and a mouse came out the hole. We told the staff and they looked at us as if was crazy. Then said maintenance man is not here. Like the state needs to shut this place down.

My grandmother was a patient here. They lost ALL of her clothes within days if her being there. The place isn't sanitary at all. The people are rude. They don't know how to schedule transportation for their patients. Then allow the appt to be cancelled because my grandmother couldn't make it in time due to their error, setting the appt back to the next available which is next year. The reception left me on hold for 20 min. The staff is terrible. My grandmother did not but complain about the place and her treatment. This place needs to be shut down please don't let anyone stay here.
