As a hospice visiting nurse, I truly appreciate facilities that value teamwork and clear communication. The staff at Sunrise at Canyon Crest are professional, compassionate, and consistently responsive. Communication is excellent, and collaboration around patient care is seamless. It’s always a positive experience working with this team, and it shows in the quality of care provided to residents.

We visited Sunrise Assisted Living to research and understand what’s involved in placing our mother in memory care. My mother is 87 years old and has been diagnosed with dementia, so this was a sensitive and emotional process for us. We showed up on a Sunday without an appointment and were warmly greeted by the Associate Sales Manager, who graciously gave us a tour. From the moment we stepped into the memory care unit, we felt a sense of welcome and home—it was a place I could truly envision for my mother. One thing that stood out to me was seeing staff interact warmly and attentively with residents. This felt genuine and consistent, not staged for our benefit, as they had no idea we were coming. Following our visit, Amy (Sales Manager) reached out and invited us back for a second tour. During that visit, Amy patiently answered all of our detailed questions about medication management, dietary needs, and overall care. She did an excellent job explaining the requirements for medication management and the necessary paperwork, which was entirely new to us. Her patience and understanding were invaluable as we navigated this unfamiliar process. Amy went above and beyond by arranging meetings with the head chef to discuss dietary needs, the head nurse for medication management, and the administrator to explain staff hiring and training processes. Her professionalism and compassion made a complicated process much easier. Although we’ve decided not to place my mother in memory care at this time, Sunrise remains my preferred choice when the time comes. After visiting 12 communities, Sunrise stood out as the warmest and welcoming. To anyone reading this, I understand how heavy this decision feels. I pray you find peace and confidence as you choose the right place for your loved one. Thank you, Amy, and the entire Sunrise team, for your kindness and dedication.

Our mom was a resident at Sunrise Senior Living for 3 years and we couldn't be more impressed with the quality of care she received. The staff became like a second family to mom and they helped make her final years as comfortable and fulfilling as possible. Sunrise also did an excellent job of coordinating with the local hospice provider when this became necessary. We highly recommend Sunrise. They are good folks.

Mom has been at Sunrise Canyon Crest for 6 years now. I can not tell you how much it means to me and my siblings that she is at a facility that really cares for her. From the maintenance staff all the way to Heather, the executive director, everyone knows my Mom by name and are really good to her. If there are issues, they are communicated to me in a professional and caring manner. If I have issues, they are resolved quickly and without question. The Wellness Team is especially good at making sure Mom gets all her medication and if they suspect a medical issue, they are quick to call, so I can make arrangements with her Doctor. The day to day care staff are amazing, especially lately that my Mom's memory and demeanor is challenging. They are so patient and easy going, but firm with her. I could never provide this level of care and compassion on my own. For those of you reading the negative reviews, please note that they are over 5 years old. Is Sunrise a bit pricey? Yes, but it's worth every penny.

My in-laws have both moved to Sunrise at Canyon Crest over the past 15 months. Both are receiving excellent care, one in memory care and the other in assisted living. The truly special thing about Sunrise at Canyon Crest is the staff. They really see m to enjoy their work with the residents. We’ve worked directly with Tiara to address our parents’ needs. She has been amazing to work with. Really goes above and beyond in building relationships and working with us to find solutions to challenges, especially with my mother-in-law who was very challenging as she was adapting to living in a memory care facility. We feel confident our parents are genuinely cared for. Sunrise has lifted a great weight of worry from my husband and I. We are truly grateful!!!
