If I could give Brightstar 0 stars I would. Caregivers are always on their phones and the company does nothing about the complaints. After addressed with caregiver about not providing adequate care she yelled at us. Beyond unprofessional and extremely disappointing that they are still open.

Brightstar has been a Godsend for our family! They have partnered with us to provide safeguards for my aging parents and to enable my father to continue living in comfort and safety with my mother. His caregiver Raghdaa has so much heart and integrity! My parents love her! She cares for my father with the utmost attention and intention. My dad was worried about losing his dignity relying on a caregiver. His dignity has increased as he is now immaculately groomed, more comfortable, and less reliant on my aging mother. My mother has more time to for herself, and she and my father enjoy Raghdaa’s companionship! Truly Raghdaa has gone up and above the call of duty for my parents and is all that we hoped for in a caregiver. Though, I had heard great things about Brightstar, they too have exceeded my expectations! They have been promptly responsive, communicative and I have confidence in their integrity!

Our experience with BrightStar Care has been wonderful. They sent Paul (PT) to our house after my mom had knee replacement surgery and he was wonderful. Not only did he help with my mother’s physical therapy, but he also helped Me put together some assistive devices for her to make her more comfortable in the home. Paul was very kind, patient and worked very well with my mother. He would be out first choice in the future if we needed physical therapy in the home again. Thank you for the extraordinary care.

I would like to share several concerns regarding current scheduling, communication, and compensation practices. At times, when arriving for scheduled shifts, the on-call contact is unavailable, and some client locations require private access codes. This results in staff having to wait outside, sometimes in severe weather, until another staff member arrives. This situation is unsafe and unproductive. Additionally, in the event of an emergency, such as a client fall, it becomes difficult to report the situation promptly if the agency does not answer the phone. Timely communication is critical for client safety. I also believe that transmitting client information via text messages is unprofessional and raises privacy concerns. I have also noticed that I am often contacted only when new clients are assigned, and some assignments require travel of over an hour. Due to the time and expense involved, I am unable to accept assignments at that distance unless compensation reflects at least $20 per hour. Mileage reimbursement would help offset travel costs; however, reimbursement currently applies only when servicing multiple clients in one day. In addition, orientation compensation is limited to one paid hour out of approximately six hours required. Many companies compensate employees fully for orientation time, and I respectfully request consideration for full compensation for required training hours. I am committed to providing dependable, quality care and hope these concerns can be addressed to improve working conditions and client service.
