Broken promises and lies. Our Veterans deserve better. I do feel the patient was sedated for dementia, but I do not know the prescriptions she was given.

I am writing on behalf of a private ambulance service that transports patients to rehabilitation facilities for continued care. This was our first time delivering a patient to your facility, and we were unfamiliar with the appropriate intake procedures and designated entrance.<br>Upon arrival with our patient,, we encountered the front desk receptionist Mrs. Iris who was discourteous toward both our team and the patient. The receptionist made several inappropriate and unprofessional remarks. Due to inclement weather and a lack of clear direction, we chose the front entrance to ensure the patient’s safety and comfort.<br>After eventually receiving directions to the patient’s room, we were disappointed to experience similar behavior from members of the nursing staff, who were also unhelpful and inconsiderate during the handoff process.<br>As healthcare professionals, we believe patients deserve to be treated with compassion and professionalism, and the staffing should support all individuals involved in their care including transport personnel. The level of customer service and professionalism displayed by both the front desk and nursing staff is unacceptable.

My father has been here for a year and it is the NICEST facility I've personally seen. The staff are helpful and attentive to the residents. . They saved my father's life. I can't say enough good about them

Even though this facility receives a lot of 5 star reviews in my opinion this is over rated. Reason for this is because my spouse was there recently and the care for her was not that great. here is a list of reasons why: reason one when she first arrived on the 9th of July i went in on the 10th and asked how long tri care and Medicare would pay for her care. I was advised she was good until the 22nd of September. what they do not tell you is that this is only good as long as she is in some type of therapy. if and when she is discharged from therapy the individual has to pick up the cost not covered by Medicare. This is deception number one. Deception number two happened when there was a meeting in the conference room and I was advised by the social service worked that I would be introduced to a va specialist the following week. This never happened. Deception number three happened on the 7th of August. The deception was I was asked if I was bringing in outside food for my wife. I advised the nurse yes but the speech therapist stated it was ok as long as my wife was under supervision. Which she was because I was there watching her eat. I was advised I would need to sign a waiver regarding of bringing in outside food. That afternoon 4 Individuals showed up with the form. The form was to change her diet from puree to regular. From my understanding the speech therapist was not notified of this. After signing the form, a week later on the 13th of August another nurse came in with a form stating my spouse would be discharged on the 19th of August. Also one of the nurses there gave my spouse Zofran for nausea. This caused my spouse to develop a rash. On the 6th of August received a phone call from same nurse wanting to know what type of medication she was receiving for nausea. I brought in the medication and she took out one of the pills. I don't know if she gave it to my wife , but all I know is I asked about the rash she stated she had put in a request to get it looked at. The only time that I know of it was looked at was the day before discharge by the Doctor who ordered some cream for her. This same nurse I asked about testing for uti. This nurse stated she had ordered blood test and urine sample. The only result I received when I asked for was from the blood test. Nothing about the urine sample. Also i would do my wife laundry and there were times when her nightgown smelled of urine and was wet. Not sure if night crew took care of her that well because I didn't go at night. There were also other times when I left at night the next morning my wife was in the same clothes from the previous evening. Also, the previous nurse I talked about was in a different office one day and she had a child under her desk. I feel that my wife who served this country for 20 years with an honorable discharge was not treated with the proper respect and dignity that she deserved. She is currently home and seems to be doing much better. So be careful with your loved ones and check on them to make sure they are being treated with respect and dignity. I know this seems harsh but reality is that this is just a nursing home like other nursing homes.
