After visiting several memory care communities, we chose Birchwood Cottages in North Mankato, and we have been very pleased with our decision.<br>From the moment you walk in, the Cottage feels welcoming, secure, and thoughtfully designed for seniors. The bright, cheerful décor creates a positive atmosphere, and the beautiful patio and garden areas, filled with flowers and comfortable benches, provide peaceful spaces for residents to relax and enjoy the outdoors.<br>During our tour with the director, we were impressed by the kindness of the staff. Everyone we encountered greeted us warmly while attentively caring for residents. The entire community has a genuine family atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease.<br>The resident rooms come in a variety of sizes, and each includes a private bathroom with a shower, providing both comfort and convenience. The chef and kitchen staff are wonderful and always accommodating. Meals are nutritious, varied, and thoughtfully prepared.<br>There is a full schedule of daily activities that keeps residents engaged, active, and connected. Activities include games, crafts, exercise, movies, snacks, and other enjoyable events. Local volunteers often provide musical entertainment, and residents are encouraged to participate at their own comfort level. The staff also spends one-on-one time with residents, offering personalized attention and companionship.<br>My husband now lives at Birchwood Cottages, and it brings me great peace of mind to know he is happy, safe, and genuinely cared for by such a compassionate team. I truly could not ask for a more caring, supportive, and loving home away from home for him.
