Bay Breeze is a residential care community in Long Beach, California, serving adults with mental illness. The community is part of TruCare, which has operated in Long Beach and Orange County for nearly 20 years, providing structured programming and personalized support for residents based on individual needs.

The community offers medication management, assistance with daily living activities including meals, laundry, housekeeping, transportation, and personal hygiene. Staff members work with residents on developing new attitudes and behaviors to support recovery, recognizing the biological, psychological, and social aspects of mental illness as a lifelong process.

Bay Breeze maintains a resident-centered approach with a multidisciplinary staff dedicated to making residents comfortable, active, and secure. The community features private rooms designed for comfort and provides structured activities, group outings, tours, and entertainment scheduled by a full-time activity director. Programming is tailored to fit various resident needs and foster strong bonds through shared experiences.

Located approximately 10 minutes from downtown Long Beach, the Long Beach Convention Center, and the Queen Mary, the facility offers a clean and healthy environment. Furnished rooms are available, and supplemental services can be provided for residents needing higher levels of care.

The community participates in the Assisted Living Waiver Program through Medi-Cal, designed to make housing and health-related services more affordable for eligible individuals who would benefit from an assisted living environment as an alternative to nursing care.
