I want to give Ballard Nursing Center a great big THANK YOU (but it's not enough) for the professional and personal services, care, and love my wife, Linda, received during her five month stay until she passed. The facility was perpetualy cleaned and disinfected. The staff treated us with respect and always helped with a heart of gladness. Lindà was kept clean even though she couldn't communicate a problem. Was it perfect? No, nothing is but I really have no complaint, only gratitude for every effort. All of this was done in conjunction with Halo Hospice who is equally professional and caring. In Linda's time of passing Ballard and Halo together brought comfort and understanding well beyond our expectations. I feel that God arranged this for us and brought these people into our lives. What a blessing!

My brother in law was just moved from here. It was a Three month battle to get him out of there. Never let one of your loved one stay there. My brother in law never was given a bath , he has a fungal infection in his toe that the toe nail grew over he has bed sores. He had a feeding tube inserted. He was and is able to eat by himself. He said he was beaten, and sexually assaulted he reported it to the Seattle police. It happened at night so he couldn't see who it was. This has been reported to the adult protection services by the Seattle police. And me. When you walk into the place you immediately smell urine. There are residents begging you to get them out of there. You can walk in any hallway and residence calling for help. The workers just ignored them . I finally got my brother in law out of there . The Ballard nursing home had so many reasons for them not discharging him we had to call the police twice. Please don't let your love ones go there and get your loved ones out of there

While I know there is no perfect solution for what has to go on when a family member has to be placed in a nursing center, the care my mother received at Ballard’s Nursing Center was truly better than ever could have been expected. Jeanette and her staff treated my mom with respect and love as if she was their own mother or family member. I could not have asked for better care. Alzheimer’s is a disease that really changes on a sometimes daily basis. From knowing you to not knowing you, but the staff there at Ballard’s gave her the dignity and love that she deserved and needed. They went above and beyond what one would expect. Mom loved her friends she made there and I believe she was as happy as could be considering what she was going through. I would like to thank each and everyone of the staff members and Jeanette the administrator for their love and kindness shown to my mother and our family during our time of need. It was almost 2 years that she stayed there. By the way, in the end, the day of my mom’s funeral, Jeanette and some of the staff weren’t able to attend because of a surprise visit by the state agency that oversees nursing homes. This visit. Resulted in 0 deficiencies. So. Thank you all for doing what you do! It is a true calling from God above to take care of the elderly with compassion and dignity. Thank you! Hondo Huckeby

Ballard Nursing Facility is my savior, their director is my angel. I had been having problems for years trying to find help for my mom, to no avail. These people are the first to actually explain what needed to be done in order for my mom to get the help she and I desperately needed. The nurses kept me updated, and cared for my mom like she was their own.I got great comfort knowing that the nurse was right there with my mom when she passed; she was not alone. Thank you Ballard!

I will never allow one of my loved ones to live under the "care" of Ballard's nursing home again. The treatment my mother received there was horrific. My mother was almost starved to death and one of the worst cases of dehydration the ER doctor had ever seen. I've tried to get corporate's number from Kyle but he's not allowed to give that number to anyone. I do not recommend this facility at all. I give them a zero star rating. They really need to be held accountable for the horrible neglect my mother endured there. They should be ashamed of themselves.
