My brother with vascular dementia was admitted to Avir at Corsicana two days ago. We had a very positive experience from our first visit to this facility yesterday. The facility was very clean, no unpleasant odors, and well maintained. Since he was in a secure unit, the staff was always there to let us in and out when we needed to move around the facility. What was surprising to us was they had multidisciplinary care conference to which my brother and our family were invited. They addressed all of our questions and explained their programs in detail. The staff were kind, caring, patient, very attentive, and professional. We were also surprised to learn that my brother who is very reserved and shy was actively participating in their social activities which we never expected. They knew how to draw him out. They were eager to let us know of his activities and the progress he has been making cultivating relationships with the staff and others. We were initially concerned with the distance we had to drive to visit the facility, but after seeing the facility and how comfortable my brother was, we felt that the distance to drive was not as important as how well the facility has been treating my brother and how well he is adjusting to the new environment. We would highly recommend this facility to anyone who seek quality care.

This facility is amazing patients I have had a family member there and they were taken really good care of. Every patient was always clean it always smelled good. And the driver was outstanding she always took care of her patients
