I can’t say enough wonderful things about Atria in Grass Valley—this is truly the nicest and most welcoming place in town to bring your loved one. From the moment you walk in, you notice how incredibly clean, warm, and well-maintained the entire community is. It immediately gives you peace of mind. What really sets Atria apart, though, is the staff. Every team member is kind, attentive, and genuinely cares—but their head nurse is especially amazing. The level of compassion and professionalism is something you don’t see everywhere. Joanna, the Executive Director, is the heart of the building. Knowing that she worked her way up from a caregiver makes such a difference—you can see that she understands every aspect of care and truly puts her heart and soul into the community. That kind of leadership shows in everything they do. Atria offers the full spectrum of care, from assisted living to memory care, which makes it a place where residents can truly age in place comfortably. On top of that, their activities calendar is incredible—they consistently host fun, engaging events all month long that keep residents active, social, and happy. They go above and beyond for their residents in every way possible. It’s not just a place to live—it’s a place where people are genuinely cared for. I also really appreciate Joanna’s dedication to building strong relationships with other locally owned businesses, like Comfort Keepers. We partner with Atria to provide one-on-one care for residents who may need a higher level of support, and that collaboration makes such a positive impact.
