So many times we take for granted the quality of care someone receives at these long term care facilities .    I think it’s worthy to say that a gentleman  who has been under guardianship with a guardian  ad litem for the first time in ten years of institutionalization is extraordinarily happy with his environment and care. No longer combative and silent, this  smiling and interactive fellow engages familiarly with staff, has medically stabilized and  improved to achieve his health  mentally physically and emotionally that could have even been imagined!  Its heartwarming to testify to the care and attention that he has received at Aria Waukesha. He for the first time since guardianship is Happy where he is at and is thriving!

When you walk looks really and neat. As you settle in and observe how slow the CNA or assistant. It should not taken over 1 hours get need met. Also because you are a lot more capable does not mean you should ignore a patient and their needs. So while some patients are being ignored hope the ones the staff claim they spent is getting top care. Every place has a shortage of staff, but the staff do their job and do it well. The food rarely warm or hot, it is often cold. Eggs over cooked, burned. Half done and over done.

If I could give no star and still post this, I would. My family member has had issues at this facility since he got there. He has significant medical needs, requires medication to manage diabetes and high blood pressure and never receives his medication on time. He needs support with his adls and relies on them for support, but they are consistently unresponsive to his call light. This is the WORST facility to place your loved one. I feel bad for anyone who has their loved one there for long term care. I will be filing a complaint with the State of WI due to the negligence of this facility.

My Husband has been sent here on multiple occasions for both rehab and extended stays. I have been pleased with the way we were treated by both staff members and administrative personnel. Any concerns brought to their attention were addressed in a timely manner and the nurses have been very helpful in explaining the various aspects of his care and treatment. There are also activities for residents to help keep them engaged and provide a social outlet. The majority of the people here care about the residents and do their best to accommodate their needs. I would recommend checking this facility out if you are exploring care options for a family member.

The PT was very kind/caring and is helping my relative. However, the rest of the staff whether weekday or weekend was largely unresponsive to my relative that is there to recover from surgery and get PT. Am concerned because he can't get around well & presses the call button repeatedly and gets no response. No one helped him off the van even though he was not real ambulatory. Goes hours without water. Can't shower and elderly mom had to help him with a sponge bath and activities of daily living since staff did not. Waits hours for meds. Is diabetic and brought wrong food. Strong odor in place and does not seem very clean. Patients parked in wheel chairs unattended indefinitely. I believe the state should inspect this place and take appropriate action or people will be injured and lives lost needlessly.
