I worked for Angels Care Home Health, and while I wish my experience matched their “best place to work” reputation, it was the complete opposite. First, credit where it’s due: the office team I worked with was AMAZING and the only reason I stayed as long as I did. They eventually quit—and honestly, I can’t blame them. Management, however, seems to love hiring people who love to micromanage. The funny part? Even those people eventually leave… because there’s no one left to micromanage once everyone else quits. That alone should tell you what the environment is like. Documentation is exhausting and redundant. Even with HCHB experience, charting took HOURS, and management nitpicks every single word with zero consideration of your time. The expectations are unreasonable and unsustainable. Mileage expectations are just as bad. I added 30,000 miles to my car in one year, all while being told I was “within a 50-mile radius.” In reality, that radius included the entire Houston area and Lake Livingston—easily 100+ miles away. You spend more time driving than anything else. The Conroe office had to bring in SWAT nurses because so many nurses quit. That says everything. They also do NOT pay out your PTO when you leave, which is especially frustrating because burnout is almost guaranteed. You WILL work overtime, and you WILL barely get compensated for the actual hours spent charting and driving. Management acts like they care, but the workload is unrealistic, the expectations are unreasonable, and the support simply isn’t there. They promise a company car—after a year—but most won’t last that long. If you value your time, your sanity, your vehicle, or your ability to provide quality care, think twice before working here.

If I could less than one star I would. This company has failed to provide consistent nursing coverage since 2020. Right now, we have weeks with little to no coverage. They keep telling us the nursing shortage is preventing them from giving us coverage and yet the nurses they have provided in the past keep getting reassigned to other patients. - Rick Bennett

My husband receives care from the most amazing team of nurses at Angels Care Home Health. They are kind, confident, professional and responsive. We have used a few other home health agencies in the area in the past, and the team at Angels Care Home Health far exceed anything we have experienced. They absolutely know what they are doing. If you or a loved one could benefit from home health, I highly recommend them!

The staff is so knowledgeable, caring and they go above and beyond. Warm and friendly atmosphere. The communication is impressive from the front office to the back office everyone knows what's going on. This agency is my 1st choice in home health. The behavior health program is OUTSTANDING!
