Budget coffee, poor and unprofessional dining services, unfortunate vegetable preparation, and unwelcoming cliques detract from the living environment at Andara.<br><br>Their advertising sets certain expectations of excellence...very disappointed.

Today, I attended a luau at the assisted living facility Andara by Cogir, with another couple who were interested in possibly joining the facility. When I arrived, the director, Steven Martin, told me that I needed to leave because he claimed that I had been mean to the staff. I believe this accusation was made because I had previously complained about his behavior. He had also told me that he was preparing a special birthday dinner for me, but when I arrived for the dinner, he told me that the kitchen was closed and that no food had been prepared for me. I was understandably upset and complained about the situation. Today, when I arrived at the luau with the couple, Steven acted unprofessionally and threatened to involve the police if we did not leave. Because of his behavior and the way he treated us, the couple became uncomfortable and decided that they no longer wanted a tour of the facility. I was very disappointed that what should have been a pleasant birthday and social event turned into such an uncomfortable and embarrassing situation. I believe Steve Martin should not be working for andara. He has absolutely no customer service skills and he is extremely unprofessional. I would never have my parents move in here because of his behavior and the way he treated us Mr. Steve Martin should be removed from his position as director. He treats people like garbage and I would never recommend andara after the treatment I received.

I knew that I didn’t have to tour any other communities after meeting Steve at Andara. The tour was enlightening and showcased big, bright spaces, delicious menus, social calendars and activities I knew would be essential for my grandmothers active life style. At 88, she still has a solid routine and is quite social. Andra is the perfect fit for her. The staff is incredibly personal and accommodating. I highly recommend visiting this location to see it for yourself if you’re looking for resort-style, Scottsdale elegance. Just knowing she is safe there gives me so much peace. I’d give them a 10/5 if I could.
