When I was finished with foot surgery at Sacred Heart in Springfield, I didn’t have the luxury of going to mercy infusion clinics every single week to get my picc line changed and cleaned. So I looked for a home health nurse. Amedisys was the only one in this area. I was extremely skeptical not having done this type of thing before with home health, but hoped that this would work out. It took a day or two to get things lined up from when I left the hospital, to when I got home. I noticed Amedisys didn’t have many ratings so I am here to share my thoughts and experiences. Each week, the most awesome nurse Amanda, comes over, changes and cleans my Picc line. She is awesome to be around, and she is awesome at her job. In fact, I thought my dogs might have issues since they are very guarded of me. She came in and both my dogs went up to her and then laid down without worries. Amanda not only cleans my Picc line, but also cleaned my hip, where the surgeon had to take bone out of my hip to put into my first metatarsal, then into my big toe on the right side. I really can’t say enough about Amedisys and their employees. Amanda is top-notch Nurse by all means! I also had a referral for Physical Therapy so one of their physical therapist came out last week. The physical therapist was an Australian lady who was friendly, professional , and courteous. She showed me how to do several exercises, while I’m healing up, but she said it’s useless for me to do Physical Therapy when I’m not allowed to walk on my right foot for another five weeks. So she left me with a couple of exercises that I could do. 5 stars is not enough. These two ladies showed excellent expertise and bedside manner in all they say and do. I have zero issues to worry about with Amanda as my nurse and also the Physical Therpist not wasting my time with therapy sessions getting billed, while I cannot even walk. Her honesty is appreciated! Update: since I can’t write another review, I wanted to add a nice update. Fast forward to today, June 14, 2026. I get up and get ready for church. My wife looks at my arm and says “your picc line is exposed”. I didn’t want to bother Amedisys on their weekend. I called evergreen urgent care and they said “go to the emergency room.” I am thinking I would end up actually getting sick if I went to the emergency room to get a picc line dressing fixed. So I texted my normal nurse Amanda. I just said “I hate to bother you on the weekend, but my picc line is exposed. Amanda replies back right away, it just so happens she is the on call nurse this weekend. She was out doing some other work, she says “be there in 20-25 minutes.” I take picc line exposure very seriously, but now I know that so does Amedisys. I am supposed to get my picc line taken out this coming Tuesday, but Amanda came to take care of the issue and she did it extremely quickly. Which leads me to add, I don’t know other people’s experiences, but I know that when someone communicates with Amedisys, they communicate back. Amanda saved me from having to make a super expensive emergency room trip with all the germs that could have gotten me sick again. I am in awe of how well Amedisys home health is. 5 stars is just not enough. This whole time, they have went above and beyond the call of just business. If people are patient, can communicate, Amedisys does the rest, and they do it as best possible. If I run into this same type situation again, where I need a home health nurse to clean a picc line, or check on surgery scars, hands down, I am calling Amedisys. Thank you Amedisys and thank you Amanda. You literally are the best and most professional nurse I have ever had the privilege of dealing with. Above all, I can rest easy and rest assured having this wonderful team behind my back.

Very professional and nice staff. This is the second time I have used their services. If I ever need care again I will be using Amedisys.

I really like these people. They do a good job with my mother. And they did a good job with me too. Don't ever put these people down. They work very hard and we are very lucky to have them. BTW John and jonh are a couple creepers.

I am only doing two stars because when it comes to your family hands down bar none you want everything to be the best and next level and this healthcare business I've had nothing but issues not only with navigating the site but called to leave a message to be contacted and never called . But instead, when you tell them your loved one is not feeling well or sick they push they push until you relent, and you say okay fine because they just don't stop asking to come they will not take no for answer manipulate the narrative till they hear & do what they want I am so frustrated with them and believe me when I say I have tried at the lowest level to deal with this I've tried to get them to call me back and deal with issues all to no avail we had health care for my dad as well here and I never had the struggle and I never had problems I have here & are having with this company please hear when I see don't come and go through this company me! I think I think there used to dealing with the patient that can't speak up for themselves or defend self so anywhere else if and when u need care family. You see when I tried to address any issues they never call you back when I tell them no she's sick they push until they get the answers that they want
