When i was visiting my great aunt at the Alhambra Healthcare and Wellness Center today, I noticed how friendly and caring the staff was towards their patients. They're brought out of their rooms to visit each other or others walking by. They all looked clean and warm and happy. Meanwhile they were being supervised by a sweet person. When first entering i felt a good positive vibe. When the time comes I would recommend my mother to go to this facility.

My mother was checking last night. So my feedback is based on a rather short observation period. However, I have visited three other rehabilitation centers in the Alhambra area, and this one is by far the best for the following reasons: 1. The facility is modern, bright, and has a positive vibe. This is crucial and can help to put the patients in a positive mindset during their recovery process. Also, the center courtyard is probably bigger and better than most people's own backyard. 2. All the staff I met are courteous and friendly. Especially if you are Asian and from places that speak Mandarin Chinese or Cantonese, you will feel at home because many speak Mandarin Chinese or Cantonese. 3. They have many stimulating social activities throughout the week to keep their patients engaged and entertained. For example, a group of volunteers came over this Sunday morning to sing karaoke. The songs they perform are a good mix of classic Chinese/Cantonese and Western songs. They do this once a month. 4. For the dinner menu, an Asian alternative is offered each night (e.g., sweet and sour pork, Asian vegetables, and plain rice). 5. This place even produces a very informative newsletter that explains what is happening. Obviously my observation period is very short. Nevertheless, if you have an Asian speaking family member who needs rehabilitation, this place should be high on your list. Please check out other reviews as well like I did before I made the decision to move my mother after her hip surgery at the San Gabriel hospital only 2 days ago. As you can tell many are also positive.
