I have to admit, after reading some of the Yelp reviews, I was hesitant about bringing my dad to Alcott. A friend of mine had a good experience there with her mother, though, so we decided to give it a chance. I'm glad we did. My dad stayed at Alcott for about 4 months, and overall we had a very positive experience. The nurses, caregivers, PT, and OT staff were wonderful with him. They were patient, attentive, and genuinely caring toward my 90-year-old dad. Most importantly, he left much stronger and in much better physical condition than when he arrived. One thing that really stood out to me was how clean the facility was. There always seemed to be someone cleaning, and the staff truly tried their best to care for the residents. I know people complain about the food, but realistically it's hospital-style food, and they have to prepare meals that work for elderly residents with different health needs. We ended up bringing some of my dad's favorite foods whenever we visited, which helped. I also want to give a special thank you to Ms. Fern from Social Services. She was incredibly helpful in guiding me through the process of finding an assisted living facility for my dad, and she even followed up after his discharge to check on how he was doing. That meant a lot to our family. My dad was lucky and ended up having great roommates who looked out for each other, which was really sweet to see. Thank you to the entire Alcott team for taking care of my dad and helping our family through a difficult time.

My dad stayed at Alcott Rehabilitation Hospital for about 4 months, and overall we had a really positive experience there. The nurses, caregivers, PT, and OT staff were wonderful with him. They were patient, attentive, and genuinely caring toward my 90-year-old dad.<br><br>I especially want to thank Ms. Fern from Social Services. She was very helpful and informative in helping me navigate the process of getting my dad into an assisted living facility, which was honestly overwhelming at times. What really stood out to me was that she even followed up with me after my dad was discharged just to check in and see how he was doing.<br><br>Especially for a facility covered by Medicare and Medi-Cal, I thought the place was very clean, and the staff truly tried their best to care for the residents there. The caregivers were always smiling and trying their best to be attentive.<br><br>I know people complain about the food, but realistically it’s hospital-style food, and they also have to prepare meals that are soft and appropriate for elderly patients with different health needs.<br><br>Most importantly, my dad left the facility physically much better and stronger than when he first arrived, and I’m very grateful for that. One thing that also made me happy was seeing my dad make a few friends there by the end of his stay. He and his roommates would look out for each other and help each other out, which was really sweet to see.<br><br>Thank you to the entire Alcott staff for taking care of my dad and helping our family through a difficult time.

My mom stayed at Alcott for a little over a month and what seemed to be one of the scariest and stressful time for our family, Alcott has been nothing but amazing. From answering my numerous questions in the beginning and all the way to her discharge, I am so thankful for their level of care and professionalism. As a nursing facility, it's going to require some time to get used to especially for our elderly loved ones. Mom was scared and worried when she was first admitted but with the help and kindness of the staff, she quickly adjusted and even made friends. I think it's important to remember that in the end, it is still a medical facility and may fall short in some areas due to high-demand care/attention, but there is no doubt that the staff strive to take care of their residents. Shout outs to all the nurses and staff who has been so supportive of my mom, but would like to recognize Ms. Fern (social services), Mr. Sean (marketing), Ms. Mary Ann (Business mgr) and I do not recall her name but she's a psychology Doctor who visits the facility weekly. Ms. Fern even called to check on my mom few days after she was discharged and I was pleasantly surprised. Thank you, Alcott, for everything.
