As close to a family environment as an assisted living facility can get. I recommend Aegis for families looking for a loving, safe, caring, and clean home for their loved ones. They have worked with me through Mom's many life changes. It takes a village to care for our aging parents/ loved ones. I was blessed to find "this" village to assist with moms care.

My father in law was there for 1 year and we recently moved him out due to dissatisfaction with care . While we appreciate dementia is difficult and Covid presented unique challenges ,our issues were consistent lack of communication and follow through . My father in law was bathed only a few times in one particular month and despite requests to communicate with us when he refused, this was not done . Several calls were made to the head of patient care without response . He went unshaven for weeks many times.. I was promised a weekly phone call for updates and this lasted 2 weeks . I have also recently found wrongly charged fees for lab work of almost $2000.00 with no reconciliation yet . I myself am a nurse and case manger and I would strongly recommend a close look at the place before considering especially for someone with memory issues and mobility issues .

Aegis has been a great place for my father for almost 4 years. With his dementia, it has allowed us to choose a single facility where he has been able to reside in assisted living, and if needed, transition to memory care. I can't say enough about the staff and the care that he receives.

My mother-in-law has been staying here, and what a great place. The director is wonderful, as is the staff. And the place is just beautiful! Great rooms and gardens and facilities. Very pleased, and we feel good knowing she is safe and in such good hands. UPDATE: My mother-in-law as since passed, but I just wanted to update this to say what a great experience she had there, and how supportive the staff was not only of her, but of us. I can't recommend Aegis highly enough. Great facility, wonderful staff. We are forever grateful for the care and comfort the team provided her in her final days.

My dad recently moved into the Aegis community in Pleasant Hill and our experience has been amazing. The facility is clean and organized with a super friendly staff and everyone there makes you feel special. Lee Kaufmann the GM has made us feel like family and his attention to detail is incredible. My dad enjoys the activities, dining, tenants and staff. It is a family run business and it shows via the culture they have created in this thriving community. I highly recommend this facility to anyone who is looking for a good assisted living for a loved one.
