My dad was sent here for recovery after his heart surgery, I would not recommend this place at all! His room was filthy! When I asked for a broom to clean it I got an attitude from staff. I had to get cleaning supplies from the store and clean it myself. I went to visit, arrived at 5pm and nobody came in to check on him until 9pm. A lady across the hall had to crawl to the bathroom because nobody responded to her call light. My dad wasn’t receiving oxygen until his doctor got angry with the facility. The residents are neglected here, they have to fend for themselves! Do not send your loved ones here!!

If I could give NO stars I would. Because of the lack of care given to my mother she is no longer with us. She went in for short stay rehab after a stroke and was doing great when she left the hospital...simple enough, but ended up passing away from malnutrition and kidney failure because no one was making sure she was eating and drinking enough. She lost over 30 pounds in the month she was in the nursing home. She was unable to use her left arm so she needed assistance with cutting food into small enough bites so she wouldn't choke, but didn't get it. When family made reports to staff that something wasn't right, their concerns were ignored or they were told she would have to wait her turn to see a doctor. Many days my father would sit in the room and never did anyone come to check on my mother. By the time the facility decided to have her checked, it was too late, her kidneys had completely shut down, she had sores on her bottom because she couldn't move herself enough to get the pressure off. Please listen to your family member if they say they are not being cared for here!!! I do not want anyone else to lose a loved one because of this place!!! I DO NOT, NOR WOULD I EVER RECOMMEND THIS FACILITY!!!

It’s one of the few places in the area to send your loved ones, unfortunately. For the price it cost us to have my father in law there for 5 weeks, his care was unacceptable. Look for other options before sending your loved ones here.

My Grandpa has been at Elmwood for the past 8 months and we have had nothing but great service from the nurses. They go above and beyond what I was expecting to make sure my Grandpa is comfortable, safe and happy! I couldn't have asked for a better experience :].
