The people at visiting angels are friendly and informative people, very polite on the phone and in person and the clients are awesome. I would tell anybody that was thinking about working for Visiting angels to definitely go for it because it’s very rewarding. When I started doing this kind of work, I thought to myself that I have found my niche and Visiting angels has made me feel right at home. I love my job!

Extremely poor follow‑through and unreliable billing practices Our family was promised a refund of our security deposit after services ended on 11/14/25, but months later we still have not received it despite repeated assurances that it was “handled” or “processed.” ACH withdrawals also continued after cancellation. Communication eventually stopped altogether, leaving us to chase updates during an already difficult time. This level of inconsistency and lack of accountability is unacceptable, especially for a business serving vulnerable families.

My mom has a caregiver five (5) days a week who is amazing, she comes on time, goes above and beyond. Other than her, when we are told someone will be there on Tues. and Sun. morning, they don't come, we don't get a call. They are totally unreliable, they do not call back when you leave a message. I would not recommend this location. We started using the Berea location and they respond immediately, aides show up on time, there is a constant communication with the office. I recommend Berea location every day over Elyria, they are run like a business.

Visiting Angels did an amazing job for my 87 year old mother. The company and help they provided for my mother was perfect- always on time - very professional and understanding. Helped me greatly. I highly recommend them. Sincerely Adrian Thomas

If only I could give them negative stars...I can't speak for the other branches of Visiting Angels, but the Olsen branch is absolutely horrible. On day one, the morning aid never showed up and left my mother soaking in her own urin. I couldn't reach anyone for 5 and half hrs because they claimed the entire office was in a meeting. But honestly, they never answer the phone and all their mailboxes are always full. The evening aid, Jen, was reliable. But the replacement morning aid lied on her paperwork and said she did a bunch of things she didn't do. Like cleaning the house, and changing a catheter my mom didn't even have. My aunt ended up taking care of her on a 24 hr basis, so we canceled their services. They billed my mom over $3,000 for 2 weeks of service, (which overdrew her account) but only had 3 days of service. We called repeatedly to get the money refunded, and they lied continuously that they put it back in the account. We finally called their corporate office, and were refunded the money after a month and half. Other reviews clearly show that I'm not the only one that had issues with them. Do not trust these people to care for your loved ones!
