Minot Commission On Aging

Minot Commission on Aging is a nonprofit organization in Minot, North Dakota that provides services to help older adults remain in their own homes and maintain a healthy and productive life. The organization operates under the philosophy that every person should have access to services appropriate to their needs so they can lead an independent, meaningful, and dignified life in their own community for as long as possible.

The commission offers home delivered and frozen meals brought to seniors' doors, as well as congregate dining at the Parker Senior Center where older adults can enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner while socializing with friends. The organization also provides homemaker services including housekeeping, errands, respite care, and personal care assistance to help seniors manage daily living activities.

At the Parker Senior Center, seniors can participate in yoga classes, exercise programs, foot clinics, and nutrition education. The center hosts regular events and activities designed to promote health and community engagement among older adults in the area.

Meals on Wheels is fully operated by volunteers who deliver meals Monday through Friday at 11am. The organization emphasizes that no one is denied services because of inability or unwillingness to pay, utilizing federal Title III funding supplemented by state, county, and local dollars along with grants and donations to sustain its programs.
