Grinnell Senior Center

Grinnell Hall Senior Center in Beloit, Wisconsin provides recreational, cultural, educational, and social programs for adults age 50 and older in the Greater Beloit area. Grinnell Memorial Hall, completed in 1937, was built after Emma E. Grinnell bequeathed $100,000 to create a memorial for her husband William, a Civil War veteran and co-founder of the Beloit Iron Works. The hall was originally intended for use by Beloit's patriotic organizations. After these organizations struggled with funding, the city acquired the building in 1975 and established the senior center there in 1977 with federal support.
