CeCe's Stone Villa LLC

CeCe's Stone Villa is an adult family home in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, providing full-time residential care and respite care for individuals with developmental and physical disabilities. The home is owned and operated by Lisa Ver Velde and her husband Brett, who live on site and provide direct care to residents and guests.

The facility is a newly constructed, fully accessible 4-bedroom home built in 2012–2013 on approximately one acre near Terry Andrae State Park. The home features barrier-free design with extra-wide hallways and doorways, ceiling and mobile lift systems, accessible walk-in showers and whirlpool tubs, individual climate control in each room, and an indoor warm water therapy pool measuring 28 feet by 16 feet. A wheelchair-accessible van is available for transportation.

Care provided includes assistance with activities of daily living such as dressing, toileting, bathing, grooming, eating, and mobility, along with housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation. Three meals per day are served family-style in a large dining room, with a posted weekly menu and accommodations made for individual preferences. A self-serve coffee and beverage bar is available to residents and guests. The home is certified by the Wisconsin Department of Health Services and regulated by the Division of Quality Assurance.

The home includes themed guest rooms—a Baseball Room in the Garden View wing, a Garden Room with floral décor, and a Bear Room in the North Woods Wing. Common areas include a Family Room for television and conversation, a quiet Living Room, and a dining room that hosts arts, crafts, games, and family gatherings. The therapy pool offers recreational, physical, and psychological benefits and features a computer-controlled system to maintain water chemistry and safety.

Brett and Lisa, who also have two resident dogs named Reggie and Yogi, approach their work with the philosophy that there are no disabilities, only different levels of ability. They aim to create a family-type environment where residents and guests feel welcome, included, and loved, and they include guests in family activities and outings.
