I toured this facility to determine whether it would be a good fit for my father. My appointment was scheduled with Olivia Fielder, but I was instead given a tour by Jamie. During the tour, I explained my father's current condition, how he arrived at this point, and his medical history. Jamie repeatedly insisted that my father was "just dehydrated" and that there was nothing to worry about. This was particularly concerning because his physician had already informed us that he would require ongoing care and attention for his diagnosis. As someone trying to make important decisions for a parent during a stressful time, I felt dismissed and invalidated rather than supported. Jamie also could not answer basic questions about financial assistance programs such as the Assisted Living Waiver or CalAIM, nor could she provide information regarding pricing or availability. It was frustrating to be given a tour by someone who was unable to answer many of the questions families commonly have when evaluating care options. At the conclusion of the tour, Jamie told me she would have Olivia Fielder follow up regarding the questions she could not answer. Unfortunately, despite leaving messages on 6/3, 6/4, and 6/5, I have not received a return call from Olivia or anyone else at the facility. This experience left me feeling unsupported at a time when my family urgently needed accurate information and responsive communication. I hope the facility improves both its staff training and follow-up process for prospective residents and their families.

My Dad has been at Crescendo for almost a year now and because of their policy about not allowing residents from being physically restrained while in their wheelchairs so that they don't fall out of their chairs.. Also they only check on our loved ones once an hour! So if our loved one falls right after the staff checks on them then our loved ones are left on the floor for an hour!! I recommend that the staff adjust the routine on checking on our loved ones so that someone is checking every 30 minutes.. I do LOVE how the Nurse calls me when my Dad does fall!! My Dad both LOVES and HATES living here!! He loves that he has more freedom but Hates a lot of the rules! He does Love that he is allowed to have an alcoholic beverage every now and then! That he is not treated like he is a child like the old home he was in. (Seacliff Village) in Huntington Beach CA. That place is a Hell Hole.

Our mom has been at Crescendo Assisted Living for one year now - I cannot say enough good things about the care she receives there. The staff is truly considerate and kind to her, and they work very well with us at all times. Since we will be transitioning her to Memory Care this month, I visited that facility this week -- WOW! The atmosphere is so much more friendly than many Memory Care units I have looked into. The owner does very well with making the environment pleasant and interesting, not cold or "like a nursing home" at all. If you are looking for a secure, but warm and inviting place for a loved one - please check out Crescendo in Placentia.

My sister and I recently transferred my mother to Crescendo and we couldn't be happier. This place is clean, bright, welcoming and the staff are exceedingly kind. I am eternally grateful to the Assistant Director, Olivia. She was kind, compassionate and a joy to talk with. I am eternally grateful to Olivia and the Crescendo staff.

I recommend that you do not put your loved ones in this place. They charge residents extra money for an emergency button they can wear in case they fall or have an emergency. We pay for this service for my grandmother, but they often don't respond to the button. She has been locked out of her room, fallen on the floor and had other issues. No response from the staff. One time, after my grandmother got no response from the button, she called my mother at home. My mother came to help my grandmother and arrived before any of the staff responded to the emergency button. My mother has reached out to the administration about the issue. They did not take her complaints seriously. Several residents have had the same problem and have relocated. We are hoping to relocate my grandmother soon. For the money it costs to live here, you want peace of mind that your loved one is being well cared for. You may not get that experience at Crescendo. UPDATE: The management has made some noteworthy improvements. They brought in new staff who are really lovely and they attend to the residents much better than before. My grandmother had several more episodes at the facility and the new staff were helpful and responsive. After a prolonged stay in the hospital, she returned to Crescendo. She then complained that the staff were checking on her too often. Lol. As the family members, that's the kind of complaint we want to hear. I appreciate that the management at Crescendo heard and responded to the residents' demands for more attentive care.
