I am writing to share an updated review of my experience with Visiting Angels. Adding to my previous review on April 21, 2025: aside from my mother receiving the best care possible, one of her "Angels" shared that my mother was her favorite client and that seeing her was the high point of her week. She then continued helping my mother prepare batter for banana nut muffins before they moved on to work together on a jigsaw puzzle. For context, my original review from 2025 is as follows: My mother required in-home care due to a fall last year, and Visiting Angels came to her rescue. Joanna, the Case Manager in the Newburgh, OR location (and later Julie), was very warm and caring during our conversations regarding my mother's specific needs. Their assistance with housekeeping, transportation, personal care, and other tasks—as well as the cost of services—was exactly what we were looking for. While insurance covered her, their private pay option is also extremely reasonable. Her caregivers were consistently polite, kind, friendly, and hardworking. They gave 100% to every task, including cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping, and transporting her to appointments. These caregivers truly deserve to be commended. If my mother requires in-home services again, Visiting Angels will be our first call.

Visiting Angels helped care for my dad who has dementia and my mom who was recovering from shoulder surgery. Their caregivers were very helpful and attentive. Sarah and Danielle were very positive, encouraging and helpful. Crystal was a super star at the end. When my dad was refusing help with toileting, she was able to work with him no matter what mood he was in. The office was super helpful, they rallied to fill in additional shifts as best they could as our needs increased even though I did not give the a whole lot of notice, and they were very willing to work with me on giving me updates on how my parents were doing since I don’t live there. My dad is now in memory care and my mom has recovered from her surgery, but we will definitely use them again if we need in-home care in the future.

So very thankful for Visiting Angels! From the very first phone call they were professional and compassionate. Coordinating and communicating with the office staff was incredibly easy. The care giver was phenomenal. He was attentive, diligent, helpful and professional. My only regret was that we didn’t begin working with Visiting Angels sooner.

Since November of last year Visiting Angels has provided one or more caregivers for a friend for whom I am the medical spokesperson. From the start, the care has been exceptional. The primary caregiver who until recently was the sole person involved in my friend's care has been wonderful in every way. She is kind, compassionate, skilled in all aspects of caregiving, attentive to detail and in every way exactly what my friend needed. As needs have increased to require around the clock care, Visiting Angels has gone above and beyond to try to provide 24/7 care for my friend. All the caregivers have been compassionate and caring with my friend, who has Parkinson's and dementia. My friend has closely bonded with her primary caregiver, who now feels more like family than a caregiver. I can't say enough about how thankful I am for this agency and the wonderful people who work there. The administrative staff have gone above and beyond to meet my friend's needs and have worked tirelessly to see that as far as possible her care needs are covered. As an added thought, my friend has been living in an assisted living facility for a year and a half and, rather than move her at this fragile time in her life, I elected to hire 24/7 coverage to keep her in the place that has become so familiar to her. The Visiting Angels staff work very well together with the facility staff and the facility has had much positive input about the Visiting Angels staff. I highly recommend Visiting Angels, whether the needs for care are in a private home or in a facility where care needs exceed what the facility is meant to offer based on need. I could not have asked for a better situation, both with the administrative staff and the caregivers themselves. Their presence is invaluable as my friend moves toward the completion of her earthly journey. Blessings are wished for the kind and wonderful people who have come into our lives to help at this poignant and challenging time. Addendum: My friend passed away, still receiving care from the the most amazing caregivers at Visiting Angels until the end. I realized when I went to write a review, I had already written one but didn't post it so I'm keeping what I wrote previously but wanted to add that my friend received the best care possible from the Newberg, OR Visiting Angels staff, both the administration who worked tirelessly to provide the needed care staff and the caregivers who never stopped being kind, compassionate and patient through a most challenging time. Thank you, to all the ones involved in my friend's care. I could not have asked for more.

We have been having Visiting Angels to help with my mom for over 3 years. They have been a life saver! The quality of caregivers they have are wonderful. They are caring & very qualified to do their job. I don’t know what would have happened if I didn’t find Visiting Angels. The administration is very attentive & make you feel very comfortable. I can’t say enough good things about them.
