I was really optimistic about visiting angels helping out my mother. When I called to get someone on the schedule for her they responded very quickly and sent someone out within a few days. Unfortunately, that person refused to come in the home because she was afraid of dogs. We'd discussed the conditions in the home in advance. The nurse did come in and assess my mother to develop any necessary planning notes. Then, a new individual was scheduled for the following week. When she arrived, she kept asking my mother what to do and when my mom suggested cleaning tasks, she groaned and said she was only supposed to do "light cleaning." Eventually, my mother didn't know what to ask and I guess the Angel didn't suggest anything, so my mother just told her she can go home 2 hours early. This doesn't seem to be the service for us.
