Escalon Senior Estates houses 15 residents and is nestled in a lovely rural area of Northern California. My friend recently moved here and cals me several times a week to tell me how happy she is there. When I visited, I was impressed with how calm, contented, friendly, free & helpful (but unintrusive), the residents were. The staff waspleasant and helpful. The place is old fashioned & dimly lit but tidy and tastefully decorated (I liked the wall papers). It looks and smells clean. As we were leaving, they were serving dinner and the wonderful aroma of delicious home cooked food filled the foyer as residents cheerfully gathered and socialized in the dining room. I researched costs, and this place is very reasonable.
