My family’s experience with Denton Rehab was very disappointing overall. While the Director of Nursing was helpful, many other aspects of the stay fell far below expectations. From day one, several important issues communicated at intake were never addressed. There was no coordination of care between the various doctors, which made it difficult to get consistent information or a clear plan. Communication was challenging throughout — phone calls and emails often went unanswered. The staff consistently appeared spread thin, leaving too much work for too few people, and it showed in the quality of care. Most concerning, the patient left the facility with a wound that occurred under their care and also developed a UTI during their stay. These are preventable issues that should not happen with proper attention and staffing. Additionally, the rehab services were billed as one hour per session, five days a week, but actual therapy time was closer to 30 minutes per session. This discrepancy added to our frustration and concern about the level of care being provided. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this facility and hope they make serious improvements for future patients.

Denton Rehabilitation and Nursing is an incredible facility for both short term and long term!! Great staff, great food, great atmosphere! Denton Rehab is also amazing because they give back to the community. They support local universities by offering their conference room and they did a wonderful door prize for the social work department at TWU. Thank you for all you guys do!!

I strongly do not recommend this facility. On New Year’s Eve, the female staff member working at the reception displayed extremely rude, aggressive, and at times intimidating behavior. Such an unprofessional and hostile attitude is completely unacceptable in a rehabilitation center, where patients require respect, empathy, and a sense of safety. I have serious doubts that someone who behaves in this manner can treat patients with the care and professionalism they deserve. Anyone who values their health, dignity, and well-being should seriously reconsider choosing this place.

I work in a hospital and had a patient who wanted to go to Denton Rehab. I called and got a fax number and attempted 3 times, fax never went through. I called back and they did not have another fax # to give me but provided an email. I emailed it and asked for confirmation the referral was received. I never received confirmation. I called twice and left messages and sent a f/u email and no one returned my calls to confirm the referral was received, they are processing it, etc. Poor service.

During my stay following knee replacement surgery, the amount of care I received was very good. The nurses and aides were very caring, patient and helpful. The physical therapy was exceptional. Armando and Gedgie (?) were the best. They worked very hard getting me to be able to climb stairs. My living quarters in my daughter’s house, where I live, are upstairs and I am able to climb the stairs because of them working every day helping me conquer that goal. Overall, it was a very good experience and I appreciate all the kindness I received from all the staff.
