Villa Monticello Assisted Living, is an all inclusive worry free alternative to dementia care of your loved ones, where they are treated like our family. We offer 24 hour awake care, personal assistance and supervision. We are licensed by the State of California to exclusively care for only 29 residents of different types and stages of dementia, and memory care. We provide continuity of care which includes end of life care supported by hospice service in a peaceful and dignified setting . We are located in the rolling hills of Escondido, dotted with matured oak trees, a vineyard, a white picket fence and open blue skies.
With the understanding that each resident is unique and requires a different level of care, we take the time to carefully complete a pre-admission assessment prior to accepting any resident in order to create an effective plan of care that will meet their individual and personal needs.
Our plan of care for each resident is a collaborative effort between the facility staff, family members, and other interdisciplinary professionals such as physical therapists, and home health care professionals. We regularly evaluate the needs of each person to ensure they continue to receive consistent and quality care.
Villa Monticello was established in 2014. It is owned and managed by a small privately-owned company with almost 20 years of experience in Dementia care. The management of Villa Monticello is humbled to have been given the opportunity and trust by numerous families in almost two decades caring and serving seniors who suffer from Dementia.

With only 29 residents divided between our four villas, we provide personal care, supervision, and meaningful activities for group socialization and fun. Our facility is just the right size where they can feel comfortable and still be part of a larger group.
Our four distinct villas provide comfortable accommodation designed with a balance of functionality and harmony. They have several outdoor patios and open spaces that encourage movement and mobility for our residents.
Our average staff is 1 staff member for every 4-6 residents based on the level of care and time of the day where residents need more attention and supervision.
Working as a team, our staff members are regularly trained by other health professionals regarding different aspects of Dementia care. Our management team provides continuous instructions and updates on regulations, policies, procedures, and other relevant topics to assist our staff of caregivers to effectively care for our residents. They are required to complete online Dementia training each year.
