Bridging the Gap

The Grand Regency is a senior living community that bridges the gap between independent living and nursing home care. Supportive living is an alternative level of quality housing appropriate for many seniors who choose not to live alone. At Grand Regency, we will create a service plan for each resident upon admission. The service plan is updated regularly to assure that the resident receives the appropriate care according to his or her needs and preferences.

It is our goal for all area seniors to take advantage of the full range of services available. If continuing care needs evolve to include a higher level of nursing services and relocation is imminent, our trained professionals will be there to assist with the transition.

Residents will have the opportunity to:

•    Live in a private apartment featuring a kitchenette, spacious bathroom, and emergency alert system.
•    Receive personal assistance with Activities of Daily Living like bathing, getting dressed, hygiene, etc., and assistance with medications.
•    Certified staff is on-duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
•    Support services such as three daily meals, housekeeping, and laundry are also included.
•    Enjoy the companionship of friends and neighbors and participate in social and recreational activities.

Supportive living communities provide alternative housing opportunities, appropriate for many seniors who choose not to live alone. In this setting, residents can take advantage of a full range of services and amenities that will make life easy-going and carefree.  Retirement is not about paying taxes, mowing the lawn, shoveling snow, home maintenance, or preparing meals.  At Grand Regency of South Shore, we take care of these worries and encourage a happy, healthy, social environment.

Our commitment to each resident begins the day they become part of our family. After conducting a comprehensive assessment, to better understand your or your loved one's level of activity, a specialized care plan will be established. This allows our staff to assist each resident with the level of activity in which they are comfortable.

Grand Regency offers assistance with all ADL's (bathing, dressing, transferring, toileting, urinary incontinence, and eating) with 24 hours certified staff to meet all of our residents scheduled and unscheduled needs.
