Respite care is short-term care designed for adults with special medical needs. Respite care can range from a few hours to overnight and extended stays. You can utilize respite care services as frequently as you need to, without a commitment to a particular community.
The Benefits of Respite Care
Caring for a loved one at home is rewarding, certainly, but it can also be difficult to balance your needs and theirs. The stress of providing home care can affect your work productivity and take an emotional and physical toll on your entire family.
Respite care gives home caregivers an opportunity to work, run errands, clean up around the house, or even take a much-needed vacation.
There are several benefits to respite care.
• Delayed full-time nursing care, which controls care costs • Reduced caregiver strain and stress, as well as associated mortality risks • Improved family dynamic and function • Reduced hospitalization for respite care recipients • Improved physical and emotional health for both the caregiver and the respite care recipient
Embassy Healthcare's respite care services are designed specifically with our guests and their caregivers in mind, and we have several communities throughout Ohio that can provide the short-term care you need. We even offer special respite care services for those with Alzheimer's and related illnesses.
Your loved one will receive individual attention and quality personal and medical care, so you won't have to worry while you're away. Our facilities have a licensed nursing staff that's available 24 hours a day, as well as fun activity programs to keep your loved one engaged and socialized.
How Often Can I Use Respite Care?
You can use Embassy's respite care services just once, if you like. We also offer programs that allow for half-day and full-day respite care, as well as extended-stay respite care.
We'll be happy to look after your loved one during the day while you're at work, on the weekends when you need to run errands, or even while you take an extended vacation.
Call us at 888-975-1379 to make respite care arrangements for your loved one today.
