Delmar Gardens South is located in St. Louis, Missouri and offers a healthy and loving atmosphere for our residents, staff and guests.

We service the care needs of residents in Mehlville, Fenton, Ballwin, Kirkwood, St. Louis and surrounding areas.

Care

The physical and emotional well-being of our residents is the paramount feature of our care at Delmar Gardens South. That’s why we retain a Medical Director who is on call around-the-clock, plus a full staff of Registered Nurses, LPNs and Certified Nursing Assistants.

The finest rehabilitative therapy is also available at Delmar Gardens South. Stroke victims, post-operative patients and fracture cases are treated by a team of highly qualified, licensed professionals providing daily physical, speech and occupational therapy. Delmar Gardens South also has a Specialized Care Unit devoted exclusively to caring for people afflicted with Alzheimer’s, Dementia, and other memory impairments.

Intergenerational Care

Delmar Gardens Infant Toddler Center is a child-centered program based on the five developmental areas: Social, Emotional, Language, Intellectual and Motor.

The interpersonal-environment approach is used to emphasize that learning is a part of play, and that play is on-going throughout the child’s day. It also takes into account the individual needs of each child and allows him or her to go through the carious stages of development at his or her own pace and level; thus permitting the child to grow naturally.

Caregivers guide and facilitate this growth, providing needed motivation, praise and redirection. Positive expressions, language and lively personal exchanges will provide stimulation for the child. The Caregivers will be sensitive to the world of the infant-toddler.

The center will create a happy, safe and healthy environment which will offer warm, informal contact between the Caregiver and the child. Opportunities to make free choices throughout the day will be provided with hands-on responsive materials. The child will be allowed and encouraged to exercise his or her natural and active curiosity. The basic needs such as feeding, diapering and cuddling will be met promptly and lovingly.

Delmar Gardens Infant-Toddler Center will provide special, personalized care for each child. The center is based on the child’s stages of development and allows the Caregivers to enter and enrich the world of the infant-toddler.
