I can go on vacation and leave the state, and I don't worry about what happens to my mom. The staff members know what to do, and the likelihood of something happening while I’m gone is really slim. It really is a great place. I am familiar with long-term care, and BrightStar is top-notch.

Considering Assisted Living
Here are a few questions to ask any assisted living community to help you make the right choice for your loved one.
What are care costs? What are medication services and costs? Are there other fees related to special services? What are admission and discharge criteria? Other assisted living communities may not allow you to move in because of certain care needs and/or you may be required to move out if you develop certain needs. For example, needing a two-person transfer/use of a mechanical lift, diabetes/insulin, challenging behaviors, wandering or exit seeking.
