Skilled Nursing

A Quality, High Level of Care by Licensed Professionals

If you are planning an upcoming surgery or have been faced with the difficult challenges of a loved one’s inability to remain independent at home – Quality Life Services is there for you.

What is Skilled Nursing?

Skilled nursing care is a complex level of medical care provided by trained or licensed professionals including Registered Nurses, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Dietitians and Speech Therapists. Such services may include wound care, intravenous (IV) therapy, injections or physical therapy.

What is a Skilled Nursing Facility?

Skilled nursing facilities, also known as nursing homes, provide 24-hour licensed medical care. Our trained staff assists with a range of services from daily activities including bathing, eating, and dressing, to advanced needs like post-surgical and wound care. Each of our 11 locations provide the services of attending physicians and specialists.

What is considered short-term care and rehabilitation?

Our skilled nursing facilities are designed to provide Rapid Rehab® in a medically-equipped comfortable environment. Our robust short-term rehabilitation program is therapy-driven, moving the patient successfully through each stage of recovery. Short-term rehabilitation transitions the patient to the highest achievable level of wellness, so he/she can return to everyday life.

What is considered long-term care?

Long-term care is the service provided for those who are no longer able to live safely at home. These patients require 24-hour care in a nursing home (nursing facility) due to chronic medical conditions. These conditions include physical disabilities and limitations, as well as disease management such as, but not limited to, Parkinson’s or Alzheimer’s Disease.

Deciding if a skilled nursing facility is right for you or a loved one can be difficult; let us help. Contact any one of our 11 locations with questions or concerns about short-term rehab or long-term care. Our expert staff are more than happy to answer your questions and provide guidance during the decision making process.

At Quality Life Services, we pride ourselves on being Western Pennsylvania’s leader for quality in skilled nursing care. You or your loved one deserve the best in quality care, so ask for Quality Life Services – it’s what you deserve.

Home Health

a division of Quality Life Services

Family Home Health, a division of Quality Life Services, has been servicing Western Pennsylvania since 1982. With over 35 years of home health care experience, our team of clinicians aids the patient in a safe, smooth transition from a hospital/skilled facility to home.

As more seniors choose to age in the comfort of their families home, services such as skilled nursing, physical therapy and other services have become available in the private home setting. Offering similar services as those provided by therapeutic nursing facilities, Family Home Health provides the patient the ability to recover, if deemed appropriate, in the comfort of his/her own home.

At Quality Life Services, we understand the desire to get healthy, stronger and back to enjoying life to the fullest. Family Home Health recognizes that everyone has different care needs, goals and personal wants — and that is what our clinical team is there to do.

Family Home Health aims to provide the very best in care and services. The next time you or a loved one are in need of home health services, ask for Quality Life Services – it’s what you deserve.
