Compassionate Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care in a Supportive Setting
Alzheimer’s and other types of dementia can be overwhelming and scary for both patients and their families. Families often have important questions and concerns when caring for a loved one impacted by Alzheimer’s disease or dementia: How will the disease progress? What changes can I expect to see in my loved one? How do I know when I need to seek help in my loved one’s care? How do we transition him or her from home to a skilled care setting? How will he or she be supported emotionally? How will I know my loved one is safe and secure?
We can address these concerns and many more. Saber’s highly trained and experienced memory care professionals have the expertise, patience and compassion to understand the complex needs of dementia patients – and their loved ones. We know these conditions affect the whole family and work closely with all involved to address the needs and concerns of all parties.
Saber creates memory care environments and services specifically designed to meet the many challenges and needs of those suffering from Alzheimer’s, dementia, and other memory-related diseases. Key to our care plan is providing meaningful activities for our patients. Every event, every interaction and every procedure is an opportunity to provide an enriching, connective activity. It might be an outing, a backrub, a dance or a meal. Whatever it is, the principles involved always include being flexible and focusing on the person’s individual capabilities and level of functional ability.
Our expert memory support staff is trained to deliver these Alzheimer’s and dementia care services in a professional, compassionate manner. Saber’s professional memory care nurses, physicians, therapists and other team members address each patient’s needs with medical expertise and warm, supportive care.
Finally, we offer open living spaces and secured outdoor areas that make it safe and inviting for residents in our memory care facility. Our goal is to make our space feel like home and provide a relaxing, familiar and comfortable environment.
Senior Care Services Designed To Meet Your Unique Needs
At Saber, we believe an enriched life keeps minds and bodies active. To promote this environment, we’ve created special communities that provide personal care to our senior residents.
These personal care communities offer the ideal living solutions to promote independence yet also provide needed assistance to engage in daily activities.
Each resident receives a custom living plan designed by one of our trained team members, who are available 24-hours-a-day.
The goal is always the same: to provide personal care for seniors while preserving each resident’s dignity and also encouraging their independence and freedom to choose what interests and engages them.
Our living areas are designed to invite our residents to enjoy activities of their choice and allow them to participate in such activities as gardening, music and other purposeful interactions. Regularly scheduled outings include dining out, shopping and community events.
Residents in our Personal Care Home communities may also participate in Saber’s Progressive Approach to Home (PATH) program, which is specially designed to return them home quickly and safely. The goal is to provide both the quality care to ensure a safe return home as well as the tools and support to remain there. Our PATH program also reduces unnecessary readmissions to the hospital and improves the individual’s overall well-being.
