Independent Living at Ridgecrest Village provides you flexibility and freedom with peace of mind. We’ll take care of most everyday chores while you enjoy being you. We offer you a comfortable lifestyle that’s as active as you like with events and programs from social and spiritual to wellness and educational.
Our Independent Living is comprised of free standing cottages located on our private campus grounds, and three apartment buildings that are connected to each other by hallways and common areas. The apartment buildings are also connected to Oakwood Assisted Living and Crest Health Center without having to go outdoors for entrance.
The Koning Chapel & Meditation Room, Main Dining Room, Library, Eastridge Courtyard & Deck, Fitness Center, Computer Lab, Limited Vision Center, Beauty Shop, General Store, Craft Room, Mini Mall, Northridge Conference Room, Woodshop, Resale Shoppe, Arcade Cafe & Gifts, five party/lounge rooms, and lobby areas make up the resident common areas in Independent Living.
It is so easy to visit with friends and family and get to activities and dining. There is always someone friendly to meet along the way, it is truly a “village.”
Life Care Financial Plan
Our Life Care Plan is a financial plan option that offers Independent Living residents lifetime housing and health care with access to Assisted Living, Assisted Living with Memory Care, and Long and Short Term Nursing Care.
This plan can help reduce the financial cost for housing that can be associated with your health care needs and how those needs may change over time.
For couples, the Life Care Plan offers peace of mind in knowing that if something were to happen to them, the other one will be taken care of. They feel relief that their spouse or their family members do not have the burden of being a caregiver for them if they can no longer care for themselves.
With this plan, you will gain security in knowing that you have made a choice that will assist you in planning for your future and the future of your loved ones.
After paying the one time only Entrance Fee for Independent Living, you will then pay a monthly fee. The Entrance and monthly fee is based on the square footage and single or double occupancy.
If your health needs change and you move to Assisted Living or Long Term Nursing Care your monthly fee would remain at your current Independent Living rate. The only additional charges are two additional meals daily per person, any Optional Services that are requested, any medical charges you may require, and if you choose to upgrade to an apartment size that is not guaranteed by your residency contract.
Our Life Care Plan also offers a Declining Scale for % Back of Entrance Fee Refund Policy for first five years of residency for relocating outside of Ridgecrest or for the first two years of residency for death. Certain conditions apply. Refund is voided if you become permanent to Assisted Living or Long Term Nursing Care.
Long-Term Health Care Plan
Our 80% Return Of Capital Plan is a financial plan option for those that have a Long-Term Health Care Insurance Policy.
After you pay a one time only Entrance Fee, you will then pay a monthly fee. The Entrance Fee and monthly fee are based on the square footage and if it will be single or double occupancy. If you move to our Assisted Living of Long Term Nursing Care, 80% of your Entrance Fee is kept in a separate account that you may draw your fees from as long as it lasts.
You will also receive a full 10% deduction from the current private pay market rate of the monthly or daily fee. The 10% deduction will continue as long as you live at Ridgecrest Village. If you choose not to draw your fees from this separate account, you do not receive the 10% deduction.
Rental Financial Plan
We also offer a Rental Financial Plan option.
You pay a one time only Community/Activity Fee and then rent month to month; it must be 600 sq. ft. or less. Your monthly fee is based on the square footage and if it will be single or double occupancy. Your monthly fee includes utilities and all the other amenities that we offer. However, if you move to Assisted Living or Long Term Nursing Care your monthly fee will go up to the current private pay market rate, any Optional Services, or extra medical charges you may require.

Philosophy of Care
No one wants to move to Assisted Living from their home. Also moving a parent to Assisted Living can be one of the hardest decisions you ever need to make. However decisions need to be made to help retain “quality of life”. Giving a person their dignity, giving them the independence to do for themselves the things that they can still do, and letting them know that they have choices about their care.
